Bilao in daily life

Bilao or wooven plate is a kind of handicraft created by local citizens in rural areas. It is commonly made from a bamboo but it undergo several steps to be created. Bilao is preferred by business owners as it uses biodegradable materials that does not add problems on waste disposal. Some of the food they serve with bilao are puto, pansit and fruits. 

Bilao came in different sizes from the least size 7 inches up to the largest size 30 inches. Smaller bilao are also used as plates in fancy restaurants and bars making it more classy.
